This festival of Gudi Padwa is being celebrated with great fanfare across the country today. In Maharashtra, where this festival is celebrated as Gudi Padava, in many other places it is celebrated as the first day of Chaitra Navratri. From social media to everyone on the festive occasions, people are congratulating each other for the beginning of Hindu New Year.
Many celebrities from Bollywood also have greeted their fans on this festival. Aamir Khan has posted a photo post with his wife Kiran Rao in which he is dressed in traditional Maharashtian style.
Kiran and Aamir are seen worshiping Gudi Padava in the photo. Simultaneously, after posting the photo, Aamir greeted his fans in the Marathi language with the festivities of this festival.
Apart from these, Amitabh Bachchan also wished his fans on Twitter.
Actress Amrita Rao said, “Hello! Wishing you all to be a gudi.”
Koena Mitra wrote, “Let the flame, the navratri and the gudi bring happiness and prosperity to all.”
With this, North Mumbai candidate Uttarmila Matondkar (Urmila Matondkar) of Congress celebrated this festival by decorating it with women in traditional costumes.
Along with Festival Celebrations, Urmila was seen promoting the Congress Party for the Loksabha Elections 2019.
