The old popular shows Ramayana, Mahabharata, Buniyaad, Shaktimaan and Chanakya have returned to Doordarshan due to the corona virus lockdown. Some private channels have also started telecasting old shows like Balika Vadhu and Hum Paanch, following this strategy. At the same time, there are some shows which will be given off air after lockdown.
According to a report by TOI, three popular small screen serials Ati2, Ishwar Ishwar and Patiala Babes will be off-air after the lockdown period is over. The report said on behalf of the channel that all three are finite shows ie limited episode shows and their story has a fixed duration, so they will not return.
It was further stated that all the shoots have been canceled since March. The logical climax of all these shows could not be shot. All three shows have played a good innings and if the shoot was going on, then interesting stories would have been seen. Keeping in view the interest of the producers of the show, it was decided on the basis of the consensus that the three shows are currently terminated.
Beyhad 2 is a romantic thriller show with Jennifer Winget, Ashish Chaudhary and Shivin Narang in the lead roles. Its story revolves around a woman who falls in love with a businessman, but loses everything in the sequence. After 10 years she returns to take revenge, but falls in love with her elder son.
Mudit Nair, Simran Paranja and Debatma Saha play the lead characters in the gestures. It is a love story of a deaf person who lives in Chawdi Bazaar in Old Delhi. In spite of his disability, he lives a full life. Patiala Babes stars Ashnoor Kaur, Saisha Bajaj and Saurabh Raj Jain in the lead roles. This is a story of a mother and daughter.
