By claiming that Daredevil was responsible for the death of her father, Kingpin poisoned Maya’s heart with the venom of retaliatory thoughts. To get revenge, Maya went out to track down Daredevil. Despite having a sexual relationship with Matt Murdock and not knowing that he was Daredevil, she did not think twice about trying to kill him. Maya observed Daredevil’s facial scar, which resembled Matt’s, while they battled. Maya recognised Matt Murdock, her boyfriend, as Daredevil. Later, Matt told her that Kingpin was actually responsible for her father’s murder.
