Every single person is their own worst enemy. Nobody can save them from themselves since they create their own death. And that is what Mike McLusky, the mayor of Kingstown, is doing with himself. When Milo Sunter abducted Iris and shot the Feds in Mike’s office in the previous episode, he almost lost control.

A new trap is set for Mike by Milo in Mayor of Kingstown Episode 8. But Mike has had enough of pretending. In the course of the episode, a single incidence prompts Mike to take up arms and shoot the perpetrators of Damsel in Distress. Let’s investigate further.

    The Crimes of James Parker

In episode seven, Milo tasked Mike with looking for a metal container containing valuable items. Mike used a metal detector while searching and found a bus in its whole buried in the earth.

James Parker, the Kingstown serial killer, was given a death by lethal injection sentence in the prior episode. In episode eight, Mike and the neighbourhood police officers discovered 26 dead bodies inside the school bus, which they thought belonged to James Parker’s victims. The spider, as the serial killer was commonly referred as. It appears that the deceased bodies were wrapped in bags and displayed inside the bus in a fashion that suggested they were spider prey.

The reason Milo provided information about Parker’s victims was not understood by the police. However, the police suspected that Mike’s land was where the school bus was discovered, and this belief was supported by circumstantial evidence. Assistant D.A. Evelyn Foley insisted on questioning Milo after the victims were taken to the mortuary for more examination so she could make connections.

Meanwhile, Mike criticised and threatened Milo’s attorney in an effort to learn what Milo had in mind.

    Saving the Damsel in Distress

In Mayor of Kingstown Episode 7, Milo’s goon Joseph presented Iris to Duke, the leader of the white gang, as a gift. Iris’ mental health suffered as a result of Duke and his men torturing and sexually assaulting her over the course of the episodes. Iris had completely broken by Episode 8. Duke made the decision to sell her to some red-black gang members as a result.

These red gang members had to travel through their rival gang’s area in order to get Iris to their den. Deverin Bunny Washington, Mike’s closest partner, led their rivals, the Blue Black Gang. When Bunny’s men discovered the reds in their area, they pulled out their weapons and opened fire. Iris, who was hidden at the back of the vehicle, fortunately escaped the altercation between the two gangs. Iris was brought to Bunny’s den by Bunny’s men after she informed them about Mike. Mike rushed to meet Iris as soon as he learned the news.

Mike was appalled as he heard what Duke’s men did to Iris. So he made the decision to exact revenge. Because they deserved it, Mike drove to Duke’s den and shot each and every one of them.

Mike brought Iris to the woods at the end of Mayor of Kingstown Episode 8 and took out the tracker he had implanted inside of her. Iris will be safe for the time being after the tracker has been removed because Milo or his men won’t be able to find her. Finally, Mike drove Iris to his cabin in the woods, which he regarded to be his safe haven.

Mayor of Kingstown Episode 8 Ending

Warden Mills lifted the lockdown during the holidays after receiving guarantees from all the prison’s gang leaders that they would keep the yard calm and orderly. However, Ed noticed the gang leaders meeting in Mayor of Kingstown Episode 8 and assumed they were planning a plot against the jail guards. Mike was immediately informed by Ed to check the situation outside the prison. Mike was reassured by Bunny that the jungle was peaceful, but Duke hinted at imminent chaos. However, Mike shot Duke at the conclusion of Episode 8, which could further muddy the situation.

Sam, Tim Weaver’s nephew who had been sent to a women’s jail, was the focus of the inmates’ ultimate act of retaliation. Sam was fooled by Cherry, a female prisoner, and taken to an unsupervised area of the facility. After luring Sam, she used a pencil to stab him in the neck. Sam might have survived the onslaught, or she might not. Cherry did, however, make sure that no one would feel sorry for him. She claimed that Sam had been sexually assaulted and that she had only acted in self-defense.

In the meantime, Tim Weaver in the men’s prison was the focus of the black and white gangs. Tim was stabbed in the waist inside the mess by P-Dog, the head of the Crips. Ed attempted to call Mike after Tim was attacked, but he had left the no network zone and didn’t answer.

Mayor of Kingstown Episode 9 Expectations

The slight footage of Mayor of Kingstown Episode 9 suggested that local police officers, especially Mike s brother Kyle, tried to clean up Mike s mess that he created by shooting Duke and his gang members. Mike’s mother, Miriam, handled Sam’s case and questioned Cherry in the women’s prison while Mike was enjoying himself in the woods with Iris. After Tim was attacked, Warden Mills strapped P-Dog and shut down the entire prison. Whether Mike will release the stress or whether he will wind up in prison himself will be revealed in the upcoming episodes.

Mike made hints about wanting to leave Kingstown as early as the first episodes of Mayor of Kingstown. When Mike instructed his secretary Rebecca to rent another office following the gunfire in Episode 8, Rebecca chose a location that was only a few hundred feet away from the previous one. Mike recognised the irony of his inability to ever fully escape Kingstown’s shadows, despite his best efforts. Crime, blood, and prison were deeply ingrained in his being and had come to define it. Will Mike McLusky ever be able to leave Kingstown? He longs to.
