An FIR filed in connection with alleged suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput to be shifted from Patna to Mumbai will be heard on Wednesday (August 5) of the Supreme Court. In the FIR, Riya has been accused of abetting Sushant to commit suicide.

Efforts are on between the police of Bihar and Maharashtra to have jurisdiction over the investigation into the actor’s death. In such a situation, the actress has requested the court to transfer on the basis of the FIR jurisdiction registered in Patna. Sushant’s body was found hanging at his residence in Mumbai on June 14.

A hearing before a bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy is eyeing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who on Tuesday recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter at the request of Krishna Kishore Singh, father of the late actor. At the same time, the Maharashtra government is opposed to handing over the investigation to the CBI.

Riya once allegedly tweeted to the Union Home Minister and demanded a CBI inquiry into the subject. However, on Tuesday, he opposed the move through his lawyer Satish Maneshinde, saying that the decision was not in accordance with the law.

The actress (in the FIR) has said in her interim petitions filed with the pending transfer petition that it is coming to prominence through the media reports that the FIR was lodged in Patna on the intervention of the Chief Minister of Bihar and other local leaders. .

Riya has also tried to bring some of those reports in the records through her lawyer Malak Manish Bhatt, who has been accused that Sushant’s family does not want the Mumbai Police to investigate the case. The actress has demanded the Maharashtra government to be a party in her petition. The Bihar government and Sushant’s father have also been made parties in the actress’ petition.
