Facebook will soon launch news tab, report revealed
San Francisco: Facebook has offered new publishers $ 3 million to buy the right to publish readable content on its new tab. According to CNET, the social networking platform aims to provide better news facilities to the American people this year. According to CNBC, “A good news tab will also feature prominent features like news feed, messenger and watch.” The Wall Street Journal had earlier said that Facebook has offered up to $ 3 million to talk to new outlets such as ABC News and The Washington Post to license content for its News tab.
Facebook’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg spoke in April about having a news section on his platform. It is being said that this section will be free for users, although Facebook can pay publishers, whose work will be shown. Zuckerberg said in a post that it is important for me to deliver reliable news to people and find a solution so that journalists around the world do their important work.
