Sacred Games Lust Stories Radhika Apte In International Emmy Awards 2019 Nominations

This time Indian Web Series is dominated by International Emmy Awards. Netflix’s highly popular series Sacred Games and Lust Stories have been nominated in different categories, while Radhika Apte has been nominated in the Best Actress category.

Anurag Kashyap, who is in the team of producers and directors of these series, shared this big news on Instagram. In it, he has told that Lust Stories has been nominated for Best Mini Series, Sacred Games for Best Drama and Radhika Apte for Lust Stories for Best Actress category. The remix has received a nomination in the non scripted entertainment category.

Radhika will compete with Jenna Coleman (The City), Marjorie Estiano (Under Pressure) and Marina Jeera (Orok Tale) to compete against Sacred Games in One Against All Season 3, Bad Banks and Mac Mafia. Lust Stories will compete with If I Close My Eyes Now, Safe Harbor and Treasure.

Let us tell you that the Emmy Awards are a prestigious award ceremony, in which the best work being done in the TV industry is appreciated. In this, getting the nomination means getting international recognition.

Anurag Kashyap directed parts of Sacred Games and Lust Stories. Sacred Games appeared on Netflix in 2018 and now its second season has been released this year. Sacred Games is the story of police officer Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) and gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). A few days ago, Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur also got a big honor when The Guardian made it to the 100 Best Films. This is the only Indian film to be included in this list. Nawaz congratulated Anurag Kashyap on this achievement.

At the same time, Lust Stories also appeared on Netflix in 2018, which consists of four short stories, directed by Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap. Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani and Radhika Apte played the main characters in it. A scene filmed on Kiara Advani was quite disputed.

According to the Emmy Awards website, 44 nominations have been included in 11 categories in 21 countries, including India. The winners will be announced in a black-tie ceremony on November 25 in New York.
