In the previous episode of Spy x Family, Anya was required to write a report for school about an interview she must conduct with Loid in order to learn more about his job. Loid takes Anya to his workplace after she has prepared her questions, but alas, his thoughts get in the way because Anya only records his thoughts as responses rather than what he actually said. Here, Fiona Foster is briefly introduced to the audience. Due to this, Loid gets into trouble with the school administration. He uses his wit to resolve the issue and win back their respect. The episode then comes to an end as Franky waits for his ideal woman. This is a result of Anya’s cyphers that she disseminated while watching The Bondman.

Episode 21: Recap and Ending Explained: Who is Nightfall?
Spy x Family Episode 20 introduced viewers to Nightfall, aka Fiona Foster, while Loid had Anya visit his workplace to write a report about his job for her school. The Handler tasked her with assisting Loid on his upcoming mission. The only thing Nightfall regretted was that she had to wait for other missions to work with Loid because she was unavailable when Operation Strix was launched and could not support him as his wife. As a result, Fiona begins to plan how to replace Yor and take back her role as Mrs. Forger. Even though Handler advises against it, she finds it difficult to give up because of her feelings for Loid. Because of her poker face, those around her are intimidated by the stoic, heartless decisions she makes and believe she is a very ambitious woman. Since Fiona had reviewed the Forgers’ schedule earlier, she knew Yor was by himself as she left the WISE agency to pay the Forgers a visit. She used this as the ideal opportunity to assess Yor and make plans for how to quickly cut her off from the Forger clan. Yor’s anxiety caused by Nightfall had only begun to sow the seeds of doubt between Yor and Loid, so Loid went back home with Anya and Bond. When Loid questioned Nightfall’s motivations, she asked him to reconsider Yor’s decision and relieve her of her Mrs. Forger duties. She never once allowed her actual emotions for Loid to show, so only Anya was aware of them. She peered into Fiona’s head and was horrified to see that she was yelling confessions at Loid. While Fiona could understand Yor, she couldn’t help but wonder why Yor couldn’t reprimand Anya. If Yor had her, Anya would have been taught to the point where she could produce Stella Stars like a machine and finish the job quickly. Anya was terrified of Fiona as a result, and she ran to Yor for comfort. Nightfall had been trained by Loid since the beginning of her professional life, which caused her to learn all of his facial expressions and fall in love with him. Fiona went outside into the rain to console herself as soon as she noticed Loid’s subdued expressions focused at Yor. Fiona left Loid standing in the rain with a promise to show him her powers and a caution not to get in her way. Loid hurried after her with an umbrella, but Fiona made up her mind to try her best to win Loid over. Fiona had tight control over her facial expressions as a result of Loid’s training, which gave the impression that she was a tsundere.
The final scene of Spy x Family Episode 21 shows Bond become envious for the first time. The characters in an anime that Anya and Bond are watching together have to examine an enemy territory, and one of them, Penguin, is shot and dies in the process. Anya is impacted by this as she and Bond are surprised throughout the moment, and Anya breaks down in tears. She won’t go to bed at night without her Penguin Plushie, which enrages Bond. Anya is even more upset when he breaks the Penguin plushie in the morning. Your attempts to correct it just make things worse. Anya initially rejects Loid’s offer to purchase her another plush toy because this one is significant to her because he gave it to her as a gift when he won the contest back at the aquarium for her. Loid initially tries to calm Anya down by telling her that he will buy her another plush toy. Anya lashes out at Bond and tells him that she despises him once Loid restores it and she knows that Bond was responsible for the destruction. Bond realises his error, but he is envious of the soft toy for diverting Ally’s attention from him. He offers her peanuts as payment for her forgiveness after admitting his error. Anya accepts his apology and forgave him since she recognised his emotions. Anya reconciles with the Penguin and Bond. They all play together once again as the episode of Spy x Family 21 comes to a close.
Episode 22: Recap and Ending Explained: How Did Loid And Fiona Get Into The Mansion?
Nightfall and Twilight talk about their future mission, where they intend to break into Cavi Campbell’s Campbell House, at the start of Spy x Family Episode 22. Lady in the Sun is now being owned by Cavi Campbell. Colonel Erik Zacharis, an intelligence officer in the Eastern Army who was instrumental in bringing about the end of the East-West War, was the original owner of this painting. He had access to some really damaging classified information that would undoubtedly reignite the conflict. The Zacharis Dossier, a collection of documents he acquired, contained details about human research experiments conducted in the East as well as the massacre of prisoners of war. Even though the specifics of their disappearance are unknown, Nightfall learned from a reliable source that the artwork included the code that would have revealed the location of the missing documents. Although it is yet unknown whether Campbell is aware of the code, removing the artwork is urgently required before Campbell or the Western government learns about the coding and causes further harm. The picture is housed in the Campbell House’s basement together with the rest of his collection of works of art. The State Department has implemented stringent security measures in this highly restricted region. The basement is difficult to enter; those who have attempted do not survive. Twilight and Nightfall have been tasked with removing the picture from the property without the Campbells’ or the government’s knowledge. Nightfall learned that Campbell and the Underground Tennis Club run the Campbelldon tournament, which involves the flow of illicit funds from a number of infamous business figures as well as the underworld masters. They provide financial support for the participants in these competitions, which are open to the public but require a steep entry fee. One of the works of art from the basement may be chosen as the winner’s reward in this competition. They intended to enter and complete their objective in this manner.
The fake couple, posing as Loid and Fiona, faced off against Walson and Bobble, a retired tennis champion team who won the Grand Slam ten years ago, as soon as they were successful in the competition. The Phony Couple, who were up against the Bolic Brothers, easily defeated the retired professionals despite the fact that they were good players. The Bolic Brothers were initially lean athletes when they competed in their first match, but after receiving the performance-enhancing drug OSO-R from their sponsor, who collaborated with the government to get them ready for the East-West Tennis Tournament, they quickly developed into muscled monsters. Anya comforts a troubled Yor, who is very reminiscent to Fiona Forger, during this battle. Loid and Fiona breezed through the remaining bouts and were then taken to a guest room to give them a respite after dealing with a shattering loss to the Bolvic Brothers. They then went on to compete in the finals against the Campbell Siblings. Fiona, thrilled to have her senior to herself, had to stop thinking when Loid called her out for acting hastily after noticing her bruised palms. Fiona was secretly relieved that Loid was taking care of her, but her stoic demeanour gave the impression to the contrary, and Loid assumed she was upset and enraged with him for instructing her on how to complete the job. Both of them realised they were progressively being drugged as the drugged air poured through the vents, which ended their quarrel. As they prepared for their next match against the Campbell siblings, who had been trained since they were young, and as their father was the organiser, they were not above using shady tactics to win the tournament, they agreed to pretend to be under the influence of drugs while communicating in morse code so that the enemy was not made aware that they knew about this trick. When Loid and Fiona finally had the upper hand over the siblings, Carol and Kim Campbell ruined their plans, having already proven to be powerful foes. Loid and Fiona prepare for their final performance while figuring out the grooves on the playing field in the final moments of Spy x Family Episode 22.
Final Words
In Spy x Family Episode 20, Fiona was introduced as a minor character; in Episode 21, Fiona was truly revealed as Yor’s fiercest competitor. Fiona cares deeply about Loid and is making every effort to be the best partner she can be for him, but Yor’s charms appear to have won Loid over as he gradually begins expressing his true emotions rather than his trained ones. He feels at home with Anya and Yor as they are gradually moving into a more permanent residence in his heart. On the other hand, Fiona is being compelled to be with Loid by any means necessary by her unfulfilled feelings. She wants to replace Yor and take on the role of Mrs. Forger, but her true motivation appears to be her desire to surpass Twilight. Although Fiona provides a story twist, I believe Loid will let her down easy now that he is aware of her feelings, but even so, I feel somewhat sorry for her as she deals with unrequited love. All I can hope for is that she doesn’t turn out to be a villain to Yor, determined to sabotage her plans and expose Yor to Loid and vice versa.
In episode 22, which is set during a tennis competition, we get to experience Loid’s tennis prowess up close. Loid simply demonstrates time and time again that he is adept at practically everything. In Spy x Family Episode 22, he must team up with another agent in order to complete a full-fledged assignment. Fiona’s actions suggest an innocent affection, but her perseverance could spoil the rest of her personality. These are typically the stories that make up a villain arc. Even if I’m joking, I really hope Fiona doesn’t develop evil tendencies. I am currently anticipating how they will exit the Campbell mansion carrying the painting. Campbell claims to be unaware of the painting. If not, why was the painting in his possession? Was it just plain avarice to possess what the East had, or did he already know about the picture and was just waiting for someone to figure out the code? I guess the only way to find out is to watch the upcoming episode.
