Who stitched Sara and David together?
David initially disclosed to the man that he was an orphan who worked at the port. Later on, he told Sara the truth, admitting that he was a male prostitute. Sara, on the other hand, was married to an elderly guy named Mario who was a well-known person in the exact sciences and worked in a clothing store.
Sara claimed that Mario was a possessive and envious husband who frequently accused Sara of having an affair. Mario distanced himself from Sara’s attempts to refute the accusations. Sara’s theory was that Mario might have kidnapped both her and David before fusing them together to punish Sara.
When Sara heard Mozart’s Requiem, Mario’s favourite composition, playing on the disconnected phone, she began to suspect Mario of the entire incident. Sara looked around the room with new eyes as the realisations sunk in and noticed two identical paintings and two identical bibles. In reality, much like the two strangers in the narrative, everything in the room was pointing in some way towards number 2. David was informed by Sara that number 2 referred to Mario’s religion. The bilateral symmetry that captivated Mario is based on the number 2, which is recognised for its duality.
Sara described Mario’s physical features as David suddenly remembered encountering a man with a similar appearance in a club who had offered him cash to have sex with his wife. David and Sara were both of the opinion that Mario had brought his anger upon them at this point. But they were mistaken; Mario wasn’t it.
Sara saw that after kissing David, whomever had been keeping an eye on them from behind the walls turned off the lights. In an effort to frighten the stranger, Sara and David kissed one other. Suddenly, a man who appeared to be Mario stormed into the room. When David kicked the man, his head hit the edge of the table and he passed out. When David and Sara exited the room, they learned that it was their biological father, Doctor Oscar Mashide, who had taken his conjoined twins, known as Siamese twins, and sewn them back together to create a family.
Why did Doctor Oscar Mashide stitch David and Sara? Who was Rita?
Sara discovered an outdated picture of Rita inside the space. Sara even saw that Rita’s earrings were on when she woke up. David and Sara recognised them as Rita’s kids from the paper cuttings in the hallway. A young Rita gave birth to conjoined twins on May 4; these twins were later identified as the sole instance of its kind in the globe. David and Sara’s mother Rita passed away during delivery, and their father, Doctor Oscar Mashide, was later given the diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.
Oscar had likely been committed to a mental hospital after being diagnosed, leaving David and Sara orphans. Indicating that he had a scar on his body, David made it apparent that the twins had been separated from one another and had undergone surgery when they were little.
David revealed the same information to Sara: he was an orphan who was raised in a foster family. Sara was adopted by a man who did not have any biological children. Sara revealed to David that she was an only child.
Doctor Oscar drugged David and Sara and took them to a remote cottage in the snow-covered mountains after he was let out of the mental institution—or perhaps he just ran away. He was upset when David and Sara kissed because he wanted to be with his kids again. Oscar gave Sara Rita’s earrings since Sara often made him think of Rita.
Oscar likely intended to do his experiments on non-human beings before performing surgery on Sara and David so that he wouldn’t inadvertently cause harm to them. Perhaps this explains why David and Sara discovered a large cage filled with stitched creatures in Oscar’s lab.
Two Ending, Explained Did Sara & David Survive?
Sara found her revolver next to Mario’s body on a box when David and Sara entered the garage. Sara admitted that she had intended to kill Mario before to being kidnapped since the dominating husband had been ruining her life and making it intolerable. Maybe Oscar killed Mario to keep her daughter safe.
David and Sara learned from Oscar that he had met Mario while hunting for Sara. The man gave him advice on the value of number two, and the father immediately understood that he had to house his two kids together. He used the historical figures Chang and Eng Bunker, also referred to as The Bunker Brothers, as an example.
Despite this, Oscar was a nasty and sick man who yearned to reunite with his kids because he had been torn from them when they were young. When Sara and David levelled a gun at the lunatics, Sara accidentally fired two shots. One struck Oscar, while the other struck David in the knee. With a letter opener, the twins cut their stitches and separated from one another.
Sara thought she was bringing David medical assistance when she opened the bunker entrance, but as soon as she did, she realised it was in the middle of nowhere. Oscar informed a wounded David that the bunker brothers lived and died together as Sara rushed outside through the deep snow. He made hints about David and Sara’s impending deaths, but being their father, he was unable to be present when they passed away. Oscar pulled out a gun, shot himself in the head, and died.
David suffered significant blood loss, which ultimately led to his demise. Sarah collapsed outside in the snow, and she most likely also passed away. Their physical features represented the ideal Yin and Yang symbol. It implied that despite the fact that the two were of different genders and lived distinct lives, they were intentionally connected. Together, the two entered this world and left it.
In the movie’s final credits, famous Siamese twins like the Hilton Sisters and Bunker Brothers who formerly lived among us were depicted.
