A trailer of the movie ‘Happy Island’ starring Yoshimura Kokumin who painted the farmer’s people in Fukushima Prefecture after the Great East Japan Earthquake was released. Masato Hagiwara, Suzuka Ohgo also appeared people who live in Ragafunsuru Fukushima.
This work is a human drama where Young Director Yukuya Watanabe from Sukagawa-shi, Fukushima Prefecture took a megaphone. Watanabe decided to visualize by seeing his own grandfather who continued farming while receiving rumor damage by nuclear accident of “3.11”.
The 23-year-old Shinya who came to farmers in Fukushima from Tokyo is depicting the figure growing, and in the trailer, there are scenes where young blonde youth playing Yoshimura goes to Fukushima “scenery” and scenes of unfamiliar agriculture struggling Scenes to appear and so on. Also, although bright depiction continues with songs sung by Furudati Yutaro , Shinya witnessed the difficult situation of Fukushima with the end of the music.
The film, which received a high reputation at the 1st Shimanto Film Festival and the Fukuoka Independent Film Festival and other national film festivals, was filmed in Fukushima in extremely cold at the end of 2015. And after two and a half years from completion, it will be released in Tokyo from March 2nd and on Fukushima from March 8th.
Yoshimura says, “It’s pretty exciting for me to publish.This movie is not about tears of natural disasters in the past, it’s about the adults who do not bend their beliefs because there is a future.The crying Tokyo people grow I made it.”
